Located in scenic Highland County, Virginia, this country store building has stood as a local landmark since 1903. Purchased by the Herold family in 1958 and named H & H Cash Store, it serves locals and visitors as a general merchandise and grocery store. The motto of this store is:
Store owner, Mike Herold, and his father, the late Jack Herold, display maple products produced locally. These include:

+ Maple Syrup
+ Maple Candy
+ Maple Fudge

They also sell Buckwheat flour year-round, pure or in mix form.
Gaye Herold displays her famous maple fudge, made from her own recipe and sought after by locals and visitors alike.

H & H Cash Store also offers:

While using nephews to retrieve items from the higher shelves is fun for everyone, we actually rely on the now rare grab-alls of yesteryear.

No trip to Highland County would be complete without stepping into the past at
H & H Cash Store, located in the heart of Monterey, across from the courthouse.

you don't need it."
